# How to calculate GPA?

When you used to study in school or college, the result came out in grades or percentages to calculate GPA. The result is announced differently when we get admission to a university in any degree-based program. There are no grades or positions but a GPA. For your information, a GPA is actua; y your grade point average according to which you are scored out of 4 points. The maximum scoring threshold is 4, so you will have to score more to remain wandering nearby 4, or your degree acquisition might be in danger. The first thing is the credit hours you have attempted in the subjects part of your particular semester to calculate your GPA. The second thing is the number of points you have earned in the whole semester to calculate your GPA. This would be calculated by adding the individual points allotted to you according to the subject based score to calculate your GPA. ## The formula for calculation of GPA:

As I have stated earlier, the formula is dependent upon 2 things: the credit hours attempted and the points scored in each semester to calculate your GPA. The formula states that:

GPA= points earned/credit hours attempted

You will have to divide both the figures, and you will be able to see what your GPA is. See, it is very easy.

If you have scored A, your GPA score is 4.0, whereas if you have scored B. Your GPA will be 3 and above.
